PATSY COLEMAN, 1996 Fellow (Bio from 1996)
Patricia Coleman is a Principal Research Scientist at he Ford Motor Company Scientific Labs. Prior to joining ord in September, 992, she was a Senior Engineer at the Perkin-Elmer Corporation in Norwalk, Connecticut. She received a BS in Chemistry from the College of William and Mary in 1973 and a PhD from the University of California, at Davis in 1977. Her research interests lie in the area of IR Spectroscopy where she has published many papers and edited two books. She has been active in many technical organizations including ASTM Secretary of the Committee on Molecular Spectroscopy from 1982-85), the SAS (President in 1986) and FACSS (Governing Board member, Governing Board Chair, Program Chair, Long Range Planning Committee member and is currently an Anachem Representative to FACSS. Dr. Coleman has also been very active in Anachem where she has been heavily involved in the Anachem Symposiun Planning and Program Committees, has been twice Anachem Chair and is now a Member at Large.
